Riverside Community
Causes
Riverside Cycle is involved in several local charities, such as the Emmaus House Cycle for Shelter and the Ted King Krempels King of the Road Challenge, but our largest charity is the Dana Farber Cancer Institute through the Pan Mass Challenge. Riverside Cycle has its own PMC team, which is the Riverside Rockets.
Riverside Rockets
Team Riverside Rockets was formed in 2012 by a group of cyclists with the common belief that by uniting our passion for cycling, our various fundraising abilities, and our desire to have fun doing both, we can make a difference in the fight against cancer.
Each one of our team members has a story. Whether it’s the loss of a parent, a friend, or a loved one, each one of us has been touched in some way by cancer. We’ve come together as a team because we realize that together we can have a bigger voice. Together, we can make an impact. Together, we ride our bikes to raise money because cancer sucks!
Every August, Team Riverside Rockets participates in the Pan Mass Challenge (PMC) as a team. This two-day, 198-mile bike ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown raises money for life-saving cancer research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. To date, the Rockets have raised over $700,000!!
