Riverside Cycle offers a complete service department with a staff of highly trained technicians on hand at all times.
Our technical staff has a combined 50 years in the bicycle business. They have trained at Barnett’s Bicycle Institute as well as attended numerous industry technical clinics and seminars.
So, whether you need a minor adjustment or a complete overhaul, you can feel confident we will fix it right the first time. We always start with a free, no-obligation estimate of the work that will be needed on your bike.
Our service technicians will discuss the estimate with you and will carefully explain what work should be done, always respecting your choices and your budget. We guarantee your satisfaction with all repairs.
Scheduling Bicycle Service
Simple repairs like replacing a punctured tube or installing an accessory can generally be done while you wait. Please call ahead to make sure we have time to do your repair while you wait. For most services, you will need to leave your bike with us for a few days. Complimentary new bike tune-ups are done within 24 hours. We try to complete all repairs as quickly as possible, and during the busy season, we offer express next-day turnaround for an additional fee. We can also schedule an appointment in advance when necessary to provide the turnaround time you need. To do this, simply bring the bike in for an estimate, leave a deposit, and then bring the bike back on the appropriate day.

Adjust All Bearing Preload Externally (Front and Rear Hubs, Bottom Bracket and Headset)
Adjust Front and Rear Brakes

Air the Tires
Lubricate Chain and Cables
Full Hand Washing of the bicycle:

Same as Tune Up with a lower price for 1–3 speed bikes.

Same as Tune Up plus drivetrain cleaning:
- Major Cleaning of the Drivetrain (Remove Chain, Cassette, and Cranks and Wash in Solvent Tank, Reinstall)
- Polish Frame

Overhauls are recommended once a year or every 5,000 miles. Same as Tune Up plus the following:
- Repack All Bearings With Fresh Grease and New Ball Bearings (Front and Rear Hubs, Bottom Bracket and Headset)
- Clean Drivetrain (Remove Chain, Cassette, and Cranks and Wash in Solvent Tank, Reinstall)
- Polish Frame

Chain Waxing Subscription
$225 per calendar year
Our yearly chain waxing subscription provides unlimited chain swaps for one full season on a single bike for $225 per calendar year.
To get started, bring in your bike and purchase a new chain. We will wax your current chain (provided it is in usable condition), size the new chain, and then clean, strip, and wax it so it is ready for your next swap.
We will change the chain while you wait—typically 10 to 30 minutes—with no appointment necessary. Simply ride in and ride out.
If you would like to add a second bike to this service, the cost is an additional $125 plus the purchase of a new chain for that bike.
We will store your extra chain on-site so it is ready for a swap at any time.
Home Bike Repair
We recommend having a few products at home to help you keep your bike in excellent working condition between your annual tune-ups. We have an excellent selection of essential tools, lubricants and cleaning products, and quality work stands. Shop online and pickup your items for free on your next shop visit.
